Terms of Service

Last updated October 20, 2026

Hatch Makers ("Hatch") is a marketplace where independent makers sell things they make themselves. By using Hatch or buying from a shop on it, you agree to these terms.

Who you're buying from

Each piece is sold by the maker whose shop it's in, not by Hatch. The maker is the seller: they set the price, make and ship the piece, and handle returns. Payments are processed by Stripe, straight to the maker's own Stripe account. Hatch provides the shop pages and checkout and may take a small fee from each sale.

How orders work

Returns and problems

Each maker sets their own return policy, shown on their shop and product pages. If something is wrong with your order, contact the maker first. If you can't sort it out, contact us and we'll help. If you dispute a charge with your bank, the maker and Stripe handle the dispute.

Makers also agree to the Seller agreement.

Content

Makers own their photos and descriptions and let Hatch show them on the site and in emails. If you think something on Hatch copies your work or breaks the law, tell us and we'll look into it.

Limits

Hatch is provided as is. We work hard to keep it running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error free. Because makers are the sellers, Hatch isn't responsible for the pieces themselves. To the extent the law allows, Hatch's total liability to you is limited to the fees Hatch received from your orders in the past 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a big change, we'll say so on the site. Using Hatch after a change means you accept it.

How we handle your information is in our Privacy Policy.
